Brunner joins race for Senate

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The race for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Claire McCaskill just got a little more crowded. 

St. Louis businessman John Brunner Monday became the third announced Republican candidate. He joins a field of already-announced candidates former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman and current U.S. Representative Todd Akin

Missouri State Highway Patrol - Deer More Active This Time Of Year--Drive Carefully!

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, reminds drivers to watch for deer, which are more active this time of year.

Drivers should be especially vigilant during evening and early dawn hours.

Three males get into a fight -- Female comes out with a shotgun

Yesterday New Haven Police officers responded for a report of a fight in progress involving weapons near the area of Maupin Street and Maiden Lane.

The subjects had fled the scene prior to officers arriving. The reporting party stated at least three men were fighting in the street, and a woman came out of the residence and had displayed a pump action shotgun and chambered a round, causing two of the men to run away.

Man brutally beaten over prescription drug XanaX

Sat., Oct. 1 2011 at approximately 9:00 pm, Franklin County Deputies responded to the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital in Washington for a report of an assault. When Deputies arrived they made contact a 46-year-old victim from Villa Ridge.  The victim had been severely beaten and was reportedly found by family members after being left unconscious in a ditch road side in the Villa Ridge area.
