Annual German Dance at Boondocker Inn


The New Haven German-American Club will sponsor its annual German Dance at the Boondocker Inn located on Highway 100 in New Haven on Friday, November 4.  The dance will feature the music of the popular Loehnig German Band.

 The band will play music for all ages from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m..  Dance tickets can be purchased for $5.00 per person at the door.  Proceeds from the event go to support the German-American Club's student exchange program and to support German heritage activities in the community.

Senate considering a bill to cancel Missouri presidential primary

– The Missouri Senate next week will consider a bill to eliminate the state’s presidential primary election next year, following the state Republican Party’s decision to switch to a caucus system for selecting a presidential nominee.

Missouri Senators weigh in on trade deals

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Sens. Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt each weighed in on the proposed free-trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama that are due for Congressional approval next week.

Both chambers are expected to take up the long-delayed bills next week, which would relax trade regulations with the three countries. The trade bills were signed during the Bush administration, but the Obama administration held them up for further negotiation.
