ECC Offering Cookie Decorating and Soup Making Classes in December

The holiday season usually means more time in the kitchen so East Central College is offering two cooking related continuing education classes in early December.

On Tuesday, December 6, Christmas Cookie Decorating will take place at ECC’s site at Four Rivers Career Center in Washington from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

East Central College Words and Motion present Classic Holiday Film December 2 at ECC


East Central College invites the community to celebrate the season while enjoying a classic holiday movie Friday, December 2.  ECC will show “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey, 7 p.m. in Room 138 of the BC Building on the college campus in Union.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is limited.

Classes Begin Week of January 9

Cookie Hays, vice president of student development at ECC, encourages individuals who are considering enrolling in college classes to contact East Central as soon as possible to start the registration process since some class sections are filling quickly.

Bank of Franklin County "Shamrock Debit Card" Coming Mid-December

Bank of Franklin County’s New Haven branch will be offering customers a “Shamrock Debit Card” in about three weeks.  Stephanie Pehle said, “We will make an annual donation to the New Haven School District.”

Cunningham Receives Emerson Award

Dr. Bill Cunningham, associate professor of sociology at East Central College, was a 2011 recipient of an Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. He has taught at ECC since 1993.
