Bank of Franklin County "Shamrock Debit Card" Coming Mid-December

Bank of Franklin County’s New Haven branch will be offering customers a “Shamrock Debit Card” in about three weeks.  Stephanie Pehle said, “We will make an annual donation to the New Haven School District.”

Cunningham Receives Emerson Award

Dr. Bill Cunningham, associate professor of sociology at East Central College, was a 2011 recipient of an Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. He has taught at ECC since 1993.

Missouri’s Newest Distillery Wins Gold Medal

New Haven, Mo. - Pinckney Bend Distillery of New Haven Missouri has debuted its newest product with a splash. Pinckney Bend American Gin received the gold medal for taste in the 2011 International MicroLiquor Competition, recently held in Beverly Hills, Ca.

Three killed on Missouri roads during Thanksgiving holiday

– The combination of slick roadways and heavy traffic during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend claimed three lives in Missouri, the State Highway Patrol reports.

Between Wednesday evening and Sunday, troopers investigated a total of 365 traffic crashes, three of which proved fatal. In all three crashes, the deceased drivers had not been wearing seatbelts.

Nov., 28, 7:22 a.m. - According to the MSHP crash report, the maroon colored 2002 Dodge Neon, driven by 19-year-old Gregory Shipley of St. Louis, Mo., was traveling southbound on Good Hope Road when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and traveled into the path of the brown colored Chevrolet Malibu.
