Thursday Night's Girls Basketball Game Cancelled

The Lady Shamrocks were scheduled to play South Callawy at home Thur., Dec. 8.

Due to a conflict in South Callaway's schedule Thursday's game will be rescheduled at a later date.

Protect your purse while you're at church - Female snatches purses from Lighthouse Baptist Church

Villa Ridge, Mo – Sunday deputies with Franklin County responded to the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Villa Ridge located on highway M for a report of a female having her purse stolen.

Establishment of a police substation at the East Central College campus in Union could occur in early 2012

Union Mo. - ECC trustees authorized college administrators to enter into an agreement with the City of Union to establish a Union Police Department substation in a vacant building on campus.  That action came at the board’s December 5 meeting.

The proposal now goes to the Union Board of Aldermen for their consideration at a meeting December 12.

Lady Shamrocks Defeat Washington in Double Overtime 44-37

New Haven, Mo. – The Lady Rocks home opener took 40 minutes of play and two overtimes to decide last night’s thriller against the Washington Blue Jays.

OBITUARY: New Haven: Terrance Patrick Moynahan (February 19, 1929 - December 4, 2011)

Terrance Patrick Moynahan, 82, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Moynahan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 19, 1929, the son of the late James Moynahan and Ollie Knight.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the warehouse manager for R & F Spaghetti Company.  He enjoyed collecting coins & loved to read.

The New Haven Preservation Society held their 24th Annual Candlelight Christmas Home Tour this past Sunday.  The evening was kicked off with at St. Peter’s UCC with a Christmas concert by the New Haven Community Singers’.
