, Mo - Despite New Haven’s 16 turnovers in last night’s game at Grandview, the Rocks held them to 20 points and out rebounding them 38 to 24.  New Haven got off to a slow start only scoring five points in the first quarter, giving Grandview a 9-5 lead but went on to out score Grandview 34 to 11.

McCaskill Proposes Tax Cut for Those Making Less Than One Million - 2 Percent Surtax if Making Over 1 Million

, Mo. – Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has thrust herself into the middle of the ongoing national debate over extending the current federal payroll tax cut.

On Tuesday, McCaskill and Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine introduced “The Bipartisan Jobs Creation Act – an omnibus bill that would immediately impact American workers who are about to see their payroll tax increase by nearly half its current rate.

New Haven Preservation Society - Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

New Haven, Mo. - Santa will be at the Walt Theatre on Sat., Dec. 10, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  The doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

The New Haven Preservation Society is sponsoring cartoons and a visit with Santa for the annual Santa at the Walt event. This annual event is held for children each year and continues a fun tradition in New Haven from years ago.

Bank of Franklin County is helping Santa Claus this year.

Employees at Bank of Franklin County are lending a hand to Santa Claus.

Millions of children send Santa a list of what they want for Christmas and sometimes Santa needs a little bit of help reading them all.

This year Bank of Franklin County is giving Santa a little extra help by asking kids to mail their letters to them or drop their letters off at the bank.

Flags at state and local government buildings to be flown at half-staff today, Dec. 7, for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

- The U.S. and Missouri flags on all state and local government buildings in Missouri will be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, Dec. 7 to commemorate those who died or were wounded during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on Dec. 7, 1941. A 1996 state law designates the date as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and directs that on that day, flags be flown at half-staff by all state agencies and political subdivisions of the state.
