Today Upward Soccer held their first day of evaluations at the Baptist Church Sports Complex. The evaluations are held to test the skill level of each participant.

Today Upward Soccer held their first day of evaluations at the Baptist Church Sports Complex.  The evaluations are held to test the skill level of each participant.  Spokesperson for Upward said, "We do this so that we can split up the teams and prevent all the more skilled players from being on one team." She also pointed out that every player gets the same amount of playing time during games regardless of their skill level.

Benefit BBQ at Quick's Save-A-Lot Today

Friends of Tom Adams are holding a benefit BBQ today to help pay for medical bills.  Adams has been battling throat cancer and the BBQ is to raise money to help lessen the finical burden of Adams's medical bills.  Adams has had several surgeries and is now receiving radiation treatment.
 

Strong Winds Destroy Barn

Photos submitted by Kloppe Dairy Farm:  Yesterday evening's storms may have not seemed severe. However, The Kloppe Dairy farm had a barn destroyed by the high winds.  

Car Crash Wednesday Afternoon

On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:00 pm New Haven EMS, Police, and Fire responded for a motor vehicle accident at HWY 100 and East Industrial drive.  

The vehicle was driven by a young male headed west on HWY 100 when he crossed over the East bound lane running off the road way into the ditch.
