New Haven Athletic Events admission pricing

Tomorrow night will be the first home game for The Lady Shamrocks at New Haven High School auditorium.  The cost for admissions is listed below:

High School Games - Students (K-12)-$2.00, Adults - $3.00

Jr. High Games - Students (K-12)-$1.00, Adults - $2.00

Senior Citizens (age 65 and over) have free admission to all events.

Lady Rocks clean house at Belle lastnight -- Varsity and JV win

Belle, Mo – The Lady Shamrocks were all business last night, cleaning house with both teams winning in straight sets.

Elise McDonald smashed a team high eight kills and serving four aces helping the Lady Rocks defeat the Belle Tigers 15-25, 18-25, in a non-conference match and their first victory of the season. (1-1)

Rachel Steinhoff had a team high six digs, committing only one error and Blake Williamann added nine assists.

State Auditor blasts St. Louis newspaper editorial

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.
-- State Auditor Tom Schweich has called a news conference to criticize a St. Louis newspaper for an editorial that is sharply critical of Schweich’s lawsuit against Governor Nixon’s state budget withholdings for disaster recovery.

Tuesday’s edition of the St. Louis Post Dispatch carried an editorial with the headline: “Auditor’s lawsuit values his budget over victims of Joplin tornado.”

Softball -- Lady Shamrocks lose third straight 12-4

New Bloomfield -- The Lady Rocks were defeated this evening by New Bloomfield.  This was the Rocks third loss in a row giving them a record of 2-5 on the year.

The rocks will tavel to Belle tomorrow night.  Belle finished second this past week at the New Haven Softball Classic.  The first pitch will be at 5 p.m.

Weiser arrested after choking his girlfriend

On Sun., Aug. 28, around 1:00 a.m., New Haven Police Officers responded to a residence in the Circle Drive Apartment complex in reference to an open 911-phone line.  Dispatchers told officers they could hear screaming and a child crying over the open line.

We would like to introduce our newest addition to our team, Brittany Menke.

Menke was born and raised in the New Haven area. She is the daughter of Randall and Phyllis Menke. Menke is a 2006 graduate of New Haven High School and attended East Central College for the first two years of her college career.

New Missouri drug, firearm and abortion laws take effect this week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – After months of hearings, debates and filibusters, a slew of new laws went into effect in Missouri this week. From synthetic substances and electric cars to adoptions and concealed carry rules, the new laws cover a wide swath of policy areas.

Lady Rocks Come Up Short - JV team wins in 2 sets

Lady Rocks played the Timberland Wolves this evening at Timberland High School losing in three sets.  (25-22, 23-25, 26-4)

Look for postgame interviews and game highlights tomorrow.

The Rocks will be at Belle tomorrow night with JV game starting at 6 p.m.

Softball, Cross Country, and Volleyball are under way - Download team schedules

Last week Softball began their season and tonight the Lady Rocks Volleyball season will kick off at Timberland.  The JV and freshmen games will both begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.

The Cross Country Team will begin their season this Saturday, hosting The New Haven "Short Course" Cross Country Invitational.

State auditor sues Nixon over constitutionality of emergency budget withholds

JEFFESON CITY, Mo. – Missouri’s State Auditor filed suit against Gov. Jay Nixon this past Friday, a week after he issued a scathing audit report that called the governor’s budget decisions in the wake of recent natural disasters unconstitutional.

UPDATED: Game highlights--Shamrocks win 5-4 defeating Hancock Tigers--Linn defeats Bourbon 15-0--Complet game story tomorrow

Shamrocks defeat the Hancock Tigers 5-4.  Shamrocks advance to the semi-final game at 12:30 p.m.

The Hancock Tigers struck first scoring two runs on one hit in top of the 3rd.

New Haven/Berger Fire Department collecting for MDA today

The New/Haven Berger Fire Deprtment is out collecting for the Muscular Dystrophy Association today.  Help them fill the boot and support their efforts in fighting MDA.
