Paving at high school was finished today - Additional improvements completed during summer months

Next Wednesday, when parents begin taking their kids to school and students start entering the hallways for the first time since last May, they will notice a few improvements the School District has done during the summer months.

Washington law makers putting pressure on U.S. Army Corps

– As flood waters continue to recede, Washington lawmakers are putting public pressure on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to quickly revise their plan for managing the Missouri River.

School begins next Wednesday- Cross Country Team gearing up for this year's season

It is hard to believe that the first day of school is next Wednesday, however the Cross Country team began their season this past Monday in preparation for their first race on Sept 3, which will be held in the City Park.

Cheif Sheible gives monthly crime report at Monday's City Meeting

Police Chief John Sheible delivered his monthly report during the city meeting Monday night. 

The July police report included 57 traffic stops, 45 assigned cases, and 463 calls for service.  Sheible said, "Robert Joyce resigned from the force on July 28, after being employed with the department for only 21 days.  Rob Kuhlman will start on the force immediately working weekends and wil become full time on August 12."
