House examines 911 funding - Legislation needs to include "wireless technology"

– Changing the way Missouri funds its 911 emergency call service was at the top of the agenda for a state House committee on Wednesday.

Lake St. Louis Representative Chuck Gatschenberger led the group, which heard testimony from telephone carriers, 911 administrators and other special interest groups with a vested stake in funding the service.

First day of school at East Central College

Today’s weather was enjoyed by all on the campus of East Central College as students returned for their first day back to school.  Incoming freshmen, sophomores, and untraditional students alike were buzzing about the new school year and the success they hope to find in their studies on campus. 

Students headed back to school this morning to start a new school year

This morning the 2010-2011 school year kicked off at New Haven Elementary with students being greeted by school faculty and teachers handing out shamrock bandanas to all the students, welcoming them back to school.
