New Haven Berger Fire respond to a report of cornfield on fire -- False alarm


New Haven Berger Fire crews responded to a report of a cornfield on fire in the area of Bucklick School Road and highway KK, located southeast of New Haven.

When fire crews arrived on the scene they were unable to locate what had initially been reported.

Fire crews drove around the cornfield that had not yet been harvested, but were unable to locate anything.


State audit finds merger of state water patrol and highway patrol to cost $900,000 per year

-- State Auditor Tom Schweich says the merger of the State Water Patrol and the State Highway Patrol will cost Missouri $900,000 each year, despite promises that the deal would save the state money.

Junior Varsity -- Rivals Hermann and New Haven clash for a 90 minute three set match

Hermann, MO -- New Haven’s JV team came into last nights came with a perfect 13-0-1 record, Hermann had their eyes set on breaking the Rocks winning streak.  Fans were kept on the edge of their seats as two teams battled it out in a thrilling three set match.
