Missouri law makers set to change presidential primary election date to March

. -- A Missouri House committee has voted unanimously to move the state’s presidential primary election to March, a change that will be permanent.

The vote follows the wishes of Governor Nixon who made the setting of the primary date in March a priority of the special legislative session. The General Assembly during its regular session voted to move the primary date from its original February date back to March 6 in accordance to the wishes of the national political parties.

Vienna, Mo. - At yesterday’s Eagle Invitational in Vienna, Mo. weather conditions were ideal for runners compared to Saturday’s “Short Course” Invitational held in New Haven when temperatures were in the upper 80’s by race time.

The one thing my grandma loves more than almost anything is waking up to the sound of New Haven’s Marching Band.  I think it is safe to say there are many others who feel the same way.
