Valle Catholic hangs on to win district title

Bismarck, Mo. - Wednesday night the Lady Shamrock’s season was cut short after number one seeded Valle Catholic defeated New Haven in two sets 25-16, 25-21.

New Haven won the first set 25-23.  The Lady Shamrocks filled with energy and determination; New Haven has propelled themselves into the Class 1 District 5 District Championship Match.

Missouri gas prices falling

— Gas prices in Missouri are dipping as the winter months move closer.

The latest average statewide is $3.25 a gallon for regular gasoline. Don Redman, a specialist with AAA, said the average price has dropped 36 cents in the last month, but not to expect them to continue falling.

AMBER ALERT CANCELED: Abigail found safe and suspect in custody

UPDATED: 2:10 p.m. The suspect and child were located moments ago  in Butler County.  Officials are reporting that Abigail Bertholf is "safe" and suspect has been apprehended.

MDC offers landowners in CWD area special seals to thin deer numbers‏

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- At its Oct. 19 meeting in Springfield, the Missouri Conservation Commission approved issuing special no-cost “CWD Management Seals” to landowners in the core area where Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has been detected in Linn and Macon counties.
