OBITUARY: New Haven: JoAnn Groner (January 25, 1932 - October 28, 2012)

Mrs. JoAnn Groner, 80, of New Haven, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 28th, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Groner was born in St. Louis, MO on January 25, 1932, the daughter of the late Carl Watts and Ann (Grieshaber) Truman. JoAnn is survived by one son Lynden Groner & wife Patty of New Haven, two daughters LeAnn Fesperman & husband Bart of Chesterton, Indiana & Linette Meyer and husband John of Frankfort, Illinois.

Among the elite - Finish a career with best performance ever

A story you won’t read is about those who did not qualify for state at Saturday’s district meet.  Senior Raul Moreno may not be the fastest but is by far the toughest.

Moreno injured his knee earlier in the season.  Most people would have given up, but not Moreno.  He ran in every meet, never complained about his knee and crossed the finish line, at times barely able to walk.

. – Wednesday New Haven’s season came to an end after falling short to undefeated Valle Catholic (31-0) in the Class 1 District 5 Championship Match. (Game summary below.)

We sat down with Volleyball Coach Jaime Hoener and talked about her team and their overall season.  During our conversation Hoener couldn’t have praised her team enough saying, “They are just great overall people”

Missouri voters confused over ID requirements

ST. LOUIS — Missouri’s secretary of state says some voters think they must present a photo ID to cast ballots on Nov. 6, a confusion brought on in part by the man who’s running for her seat.

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan initiated a media blitz late this week to remind Show Me State residents that they are not required to present a government-issued photo ID to vote.
