New Haven Preservation Society newly elected official - Santa at the Walt on Saturday

The Preservation Society is sponsoring "Santa at the Walt" this Saturday, December 8.  Doors will open at the Walt Theater in downtown New Haven at 12:30 with a showing of Christmas cartoons beginning at 1:00.

Seth Schenck scored a career high of 21 points, draining a career high of five three-pointers, and tying a career best of six assists in Tuesday’s pounding on Grandview in their home opener with a final of 56-25, improving to 4-1.  The Shamrocks led 31-4 at halftime; New Haven’s starting five played very little in the second half, sitting out the entire fourth quarter.

Missouri voter turnout down from 2008

--Approximately 65.7 percent of registered voters participated in elections earlier this year, Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan said Wednesday.

Voter turnout was down from both 2008 — when 69 percent of registered voters cast their ballots — and from Carnahan’s own prediction of 72 percent. About 2.7 million cast ballots this year, with the highest turnout reported from Osage County.

Employment Challenges Facing Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders‏

COLUMBIA, Mo. – An estimated 1.5 million individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) live in the United States, according to the Autism Society of America.

Despite extensive research on children with autism, little is known about what happens to these individuals when they grow up, particularly with regard to their employment situations.
