JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Missouri homeowners who did business with any of the nation’s five biggest mortgage banks could be in line for some relief under Missouri’s share of a national settlement against the companies.

Attorney General Chris Koster Thursday announced that Missouri’s share in a nationwide settlement against the mortgage giants at $196 million. Bank of America, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Ally Financial represent about 65 percent of the mortgage holders in the state of Missouri according to Koster.

Letter to editor - New Haven girls' basketball program will excel too

Dear Editor,

I would like to congratulate the New Haven High School boys’ basketball program, the team members, the coaches and all those involved, for its induction into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. It’s a wonderful honor, and I feel pride in my hometown for being one of only two in the state that have ever been recognized in that way.
