Rev. Robert W. Kroening, 86, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the New Haven Care Center.

Pacific, Mo - Will Smith ran a brilliant 800m race, running a personal best of 2:03.73.  Smith tucked in behind a Pacific runner letting him lead the first 500m.

Franklin County Sheriff's Department cracks down on underage drinking

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO - With prom and graduation season here, Franklin County Sheriff's Office wants to make sure Franklin County youth are celebrating safe and sober.  In cooperation with law enforcement agencies across the State of Missouri and MODOT, Franklin County Sheriff's Office will crack down on underage drunk driving and minor in possession of alcohol May 3 - May 13.

Local veteran support group - Veterans helping veterans

New Haven, Mo - On Tuesday May 1 a group of local veterans are starting a support group for all local veterans in and around the area.  The meeting will be at the Memorial Baptist Church beginning at 7 p.m.

The idea is to help veterans have a better understanding about VA benefits and misconceptions most veterans may have.  They will also help those who may need to sign up for benefits they are entitled too.

Patakey runs personal best at South Callaway Relays

Dominick Patakey pulls away from the pack moving into second place.

South Callaway - Friday’s cold and windy weather affected most everyone’s times except the New Haven freshman, Dominick Patakey.  Patakey finished second in the 3200m, running a personal best of 10:55.05.

Power of the Purse a Lady's paradise - Purses and male models

New Haven, Mo – Thursday night was every ladies dream, purses and fine looking men.  Purses could be bought, but the men were not for sale; despite one lady’s effort of offering a substantial amount of money to Luke Meyer if he came with the purse he was modeling.

Girl Scouts deliver truck load of 1435 items - 407 more than last year

Scouts cheer with excitement...mission accomplished.

This morning New Haven girl scouts along with thousands of other scouts across Eastern Missouri were out collecting bags filled with personal care items.

Vehicle flips and driver walks away uninjured

New Haven, Mo – Earlier this evening at 5:07 p.m. emergency crews from New Haven responded to the intersection of Highway C and Boeuf Lutheran Road for a report of a vehicle overturned.

Murphy taken into Mercy Hospital Eemergency Room after he was transported by St. Clair EMS.

St. Clair, Mo – Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke released the following statement explaining the sequence of events that began late Thursday night leading uo to the arrest of Michael Murphy.  Toelke also expresses his appreciation for all the agencies that assisted in tracking down Murphy and safely placing him into custody.
