Police find parts of a methamphetamine lab in vehicle during traffic stop

New Haven, Mo - Saturday night officer David Burke pulled over a white Pontiac passenger car after he observed the vehicle making a wide turn onto Circle Drive, causing the vehicle to drive in the wrong lane.

Officer Justin Pewitt responded to Burke’s location to assist.

Regular spring turkey harvest totals 40,447, total of 44,766 including youth weekend

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Hunters checked 40,447 turkeys during Missouri’s regular spring turkey season, up by 2,120 from 38,327 last spring, or about one percent.

Man from Berger dies in boating accident

Washington, Mo - Sunday afternoon deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a private lake at Hillside Farm located near the 6000 block of Bluff Road, west of Washington for a boating accident.

Deputies were informed that the victim, identified as Lee Gildehaus, a white male, age 47 from Berger, Mo.  was riding on a jet ski on the lake described as 3 to 4 acres in size.
