Union, Mo –The East Central Falcons swept Murry State back to Oklahoma, upending the Aggies on Friday and a birth in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament for the third time in school history.

Man from Berger dies in boating accident

Washington, Mo - Sunday afternoon deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a private lake at Hillside Farm located near the 6000 block of Bluff Road, west of Washington for a boating accident.

Deputies were informed that the victim, identified as Lee Gildehaus, a white male, age 47 from Berger, Mo.  was riding on a jet ski on the lake described as 3 to 4 acres in size.

Friday began with perfect weather for the New Haven Elementary field day, an overcast sky, cool temperatures, and the rain remaining north of New Haven.  Unfortunately, the shamrocks ran out of luck and rain began falling like cats and dogs.

There is nothing better than ice cold lemonade when it's going to be 90 degrees.

Yesterday, I happen to drive by Johnna’s Lemonade Stand and I must say, “The best lemonade ever.” Johnna was also selling bags of popcorn.

I do not know for sure, but if you see Johnna’s lemonade stand, make sure to stop by.

QUICK THOUGHT: It won't happen to me...

Prom is one of the most exciting times for high school students.

Girls spend days looking for the perfect dress while guys walk in a tuxedo store and spend about 10 minutes before they are walking back out.

In fact, I can remember my senior prom as if it were yesterday and there is a great story that goes along with my memory.  I will share it with you at the end of this article.

Falcons sweep Murry State - Advance to National Tournament

Union, Mo - East Central College Falcons are the District J Champions.  The Falcons won game one of a best of three series, 5-4.  The Falcons brought out the broomsticks sending Murry State packing with a 7-1 victory and a trip to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament in Mississippi.
