Teachers receive substantial raise in salary

New Haven, Mo.
– Tuesday night, the New Haven School Board approved a 3.2 percent raise to the district’s base salary along with an increase in “experience steps” (years of service), which will calculate out to veteran teachers seeing the largest increase in pay

This is one of the largest overall increases in teacher salaries since 2005-2006 when the base salary was raised 3.64%.

Today, June 20, 2012, is the longest day of the year, participants across the northern hemisphere will push their limits in a sunrise-to-sunset relay to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s. It’s one day to honor the passion, dedication and strength displayed by people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers every day.

Naked man assaults deputy after fleeing into woods

Robertsville, Mo. - A 37-year-old Robertsville man is in custody this morning while the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department investigates Tuesday evening’s odd chain of events in Robertsville, Mo.

Deputies responded to Bergman Road regarding a domestic violence situation involving a gun. The suspect was reported to have a firearm and other family members locked themselves in a room.
