Meet our student intern - Taylor Goad

Taylor Goad is a senior at New Haven High School and will be working with us as a student intern throughout the school year.

Goad is in her fourth year of playing volleyball, has been an honor roll student, and a member of FBLA, Student Council, FCCLA, and National Honor Society.

Goad was the 2012 New Haven Youth Fair Queen and second runner-up in 2011.  This past summer, Goad was one of four junior girls who attended Missouri Girls Sate.

As state well assistance dries up, federal program could help farmers

-Farmers who missed out on the state program for emergency water aid now have another place to go for help.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency centers are offering to help farmers get water to their drought stricken animals. Gerald Hrdina, who lead’s the program’s effort in Columbia, said while the federal program can be helpful, it does not pay quite as much as the state program does.
