Breaking News UPDATE 2 - AT&T says all wireless services restored

7:57 p.m. - Earlier today, some customers in parts of Montgomery, Franklin, Crawford, Gasconade, Maries, Osage, Dent, Pulaski and Phelps counties may have experienced issues with wireless service.

Board of Aldermen approve sales tax proposal for April ballot

New Haven’s Elected Officials voted unanimously at last night’s City Council meeting to place a city ordinance on April’s ballot that would impose a sales tax of one-quarter of one percent for funding of local parks.  The proposed ordinance also includes a five-cent decrease in the property tax levy for taxpayers.

Cast announced for ECC production of "Seussical"

Union, Mo. - ECC Theatre has announced the cast for the 2012 spring musical, Seussical. Directed by Grace Austin with vocal direction by Paula Nolley, Seussical follows the adventures of Horton the Elephant and a cast of zany Dr. Seuss characters on their wild adventures.

Roger Green, 43, of Beaufort, Mo. passed away on Sun., Jan. 8, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Green of Beaufort, Mo. and one daughter, Beth Swafford of the state of Illinois.  He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Fran Green of St. James, Mo; two brothers, Russell Green and Richard Green and wife Toni, all of the state of Nebraska; and his mother-in-law, Jo Ann Swafford of Beaufort, Mo.

Male suspect flees deputies - Drives off cliff into Meramec River

St. Clair, Mo. - Saturday, Franklin County Deputies responded to the area of Friendship Park near Highway PP and Plum Ford Road approximately 16 miles east of St. Clair for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

When deputies arrived three suspects fled the scene, two of them on foot and one in a vehicle.

Franklin County R-2 faced off rival New Haven in yesterday afternoon’s sixth grade consolation game in New Haven’s 5th and 6th grade boys tournament.

Washington, Mo. – Saturday was the first round of Borgia’s annual JV Boys Basketball Tournament.  The Shamrocks came in as the number five seed to face Washington who was seeded fourth.
