Summer School Theater - The Frick-chen Troupe (from New Haven, MO)

Yesterday morning at New Haven Elementary, 4th and 5th grade students performed two plays; Sunday Siete and Gingerbread Girl. Students have been working very hard for today’s performance all summer long.  To see photo gallery click here.

June 28: Missouri River crest of 26 feet expected

The National Weather Service is predicting a Missouri River crest of 26 feet in Hermann on July 2. 

Motorcycle accident at Maupin St and Arizona St, driver transported to St. Johns

At 9:21 p.m., New Haven EMS and Police responded for a motorcycle accident in the area of Maupin Street and Arizona Street  According to Capitain Dan Terry, the throttle got stuck on the bike and the driver was forced to lay it down.  Marks from the bike are visible on the pavement.

Gov. Nixon orders flags to half-staff in honor of fallen soldier

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis be flown at half-staff on June 28 to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Staff Sergeant Jeremy A. Katzenberger.

This weeks dumbest sign

I could not help myself when I saw this sign in a subdivision.

I honestly had to look at the sign twice and sure enough, it says drive 18 1/2 mph.

That is what you call a very precise speed limit.Laughing

A Quick tip: Keep your car from over heating this summer

It is hard to believe next Friday will be July 1st and with that comes hot and humid weather.  Find out what to do when your car can't handle the heat.

Shamrock volleyball camp held this week

Coach Speckhals, coach for the New Haven volleyball team, held New Haven's annual summer camp this past week.  The camp included 2 sessions, an afternoon session for middle school players and an evening session for high school players.  The camp began this past Monday and concluded yesterday evening.
