Great ball of fire burn baby burn

New Haven, Mo. – During the past few Fire Fests in New Haven, people have been amazed by the “Burning House of Ice”. This year the Riverfront Art District wanted to end Fire Fest with an even bigger bang.

We ended Monday morning’s article, “Great Balls of Fire”, by briefly mentioning the conclusion of Fire Fest 2012.

– Saturday in downtown New Haven, the Riverfront Arts District held the 5th Annual Fire Fest.

Fire Fest was Missouri Life Magazine’s featured event for November and December.  The event was also featured on the Fox 2 Morning Show with Tim Ezell and was the center of attention this weekend.

Drumroll please... Fire Fest 2012 is off to a great start!

New Haven, Mo.  - When a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the effects on the family can be overwhelming. The reality that someone you love has such a devastating illness can be difficult on his or her loved ones.

The New Haven Care Center is hosting a Screwball Tournament this weekend to raise money in helping to find a cure.

This past week, First Lady Michelle Obama traveled to London as the head of the Presidential delegation. The First Lady met with American athletes, hosted 2,000 American military kids at Let's Move! London, and helped cheer on Team USA at the opening ceremony.

New Haven, Mo. – Many people arrived early and sat in the parking lot 15 to 20 minutes before the doors were scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m.  As you can tell Bank of Franklin County’s “Community Coffee Club” has become quite a hit among the community.

Leslie, Mo. – This week children from 3 to 8 years old from the Leslie area have been attending Ebenezer Lutheran’s vacation bible school.  Each day begins and ends with a short information worship service.

Elvis Presley set to bring down the house Friday night at the American Legion

New Haven, Mo. - Elvis Presley Tribute Artist Ken Roberts will be performing this Friday at the American Legion in New Haven.

Roberts will also sing hits from the legendary Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.

Friday’s concert will be from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Dinner will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Show admission is a freewill offering.

Mid-America Guitar Campers put on stunning performance

New Haven, Mo. – Students from all over the United States arrived on Mon. at Camp Trinity to attend the Mid-America Guitar Camp.  Young guitarists spent the past week preparing for Friday’s performance held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  Highlighting the evening featured a competition between the top three guitarists from the camp.
