New Haven, Mo - Lance Gerlemann was this year's recipient of the New Haven American Legion Post 366 scholarship.  Commander of Post 366, Mr. Tori Panhorst, presented Gerlemann a one thousand dollar scholarship earlier this week.

Luecke named coach of the year - Resigns from New Haven High School

New Haven, Mo - On the same day Dave Luecke resigned from New Haven High School and eight days after resigning from his head coaching position, the Missouri Sports Writers and Sports Casters Association (MSSA) announced that Luecke was unanimously voted Girls Basketball Head Coach of The Year for the East Central District (Class 1, 2, & 3).

Scholar bowl team takes second place at districts

Chamois, Mo – After an easy victory over Chamois 370-80 New Haven advanced into the District Championship game against St. Elizabeth. 

Earlier in the day during pool play, New Haven had defeated St. Elizabeth 400-250.  In the Championship game New Haven faced a different St. Elizabeth team than they had faced earlier in the day.

New Haven Lumber Yard makes $1,000 donation to New Haven High School

Each year the New Haven Lumber Yard has made a conscious effort to give back to the New Haven community.  Similar to years past, a total of four thousand dollars has been donated to four different organizations, each receiving a thousand dollars.

The New Haven High School Student Council organized “Penny Wars” during Leadership Week during which the student body raised money for the New Haven Food Pantry.
