New Haven's Scholar Bowl teams win Four Rivers Conference Tournament

St. Clair, Mo - Last Saturday New Haven’s Scholar Bowl varsity and junior varsity teams annihilated the competition, further proving New Haven High School’s “Tradition of Excellence”.

The New Haven High School FBLA hosted a Career Day today from 10:15 - 2:45.  Students were exposed to professionals within 21 potential future careers, ranging from accounting to agribusiness and farming to physical therapy.

Menke named Youth Citizen of the Year

Last night, Ryan Menke was awarded the Youth Citizen of the Year Award at the New Haven Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet held at Robller Vineyard.  (Watch the presentation of award below.)

New Haven High School’s Student Council is promoting leadership this week through a variety of activities each day.  On Monday, students were divided into teams; each student was given a wristband signifying what team they were on.

Scheer to attend sophomore pilgrimage

This year the Greater Foundation of Women’s Clubs, Eighth District Missouri Federation of Women’s Clubs, which includes clubs in all Missouri counties of the Greater St. Louis metro area, is sponsoring, for the 76th year, students to participate in the Sophomore Pilgrimage to Jefferson City on Tue., April 10, 2011.

New Haven High School celebrated Senior Night last Friday evening.  Each senior athlete and their parents were recognized.

New Haven High School Student of the month - Chelsea Wehmeyer

New Haven High School’s Student of the Month for January is junior Chelsea Wehmeyer.

Chelsea is the daughter of Randy and Donna Wehmeyer.  Chelsea was recognized for her hard work and efforts both in the classroom and in the large number of extra-curricular activities she is involved in.

An unknown tradition at New Haven High School

New Haven High School strives for excellence in all rounds, most importantly academics.  Among many traditions at New Haven there is one that has gone unnoticed for several years.
