Car crashes after spotted traveling 84 mph by deputy -- driver hides in wooded area

Union Mo. -- Last night at approximately 6:00 p.m., a Franklin County Deputy was traveling north on Hwy A, leaving the city limits of Union when he met a speeding vehicle traveling south.  The deputy clocked the passing vehicle at 84 miles per hour; before he was able to turn his patrol car around the vehicle was out of sight.

Hermann EMS was called to three motor vehicle accidents between about 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. today.

The first was a collision in the Hermann city limits between two cars at the intersection of Jefferson and w. 16th Streets.

Missouri firefighters names added to memorial

Missouri News HorizonJEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The names of two Missouri firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2010 will be engraved on a national memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland this weekend.

Lonedell man drowns this afternoon at Lonedell Lakes

Early this afternoon St. Clair Fire, Water Patrol Officers and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded around 1:19 p.m. to Lonedell Lakes for a report of a missing person.  Lonedell Lakes is located approximately 18 miles southeast of St. Clair and about one mile from highway 47 at the Franklin County line.

Breaking News: Transformer fire in the 400 block of Miller Street -- Busy day for Fire Crews

New Haven/Berger Fire crews responded to a report of a transformer on fire in the 400 block of Miller Street.  When fire crews arrived they observed flames from the top of the telephone pole.

We spoke with one resident who said they had not lost power.  Ameren has been dispatched to the scene.

New Haven's Police, Fire, and EMS personnel honor those who lost their lives on 9/11

On the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks a memorial service was held by members of New Haven's Police, Fire, and EMS personnel yesterday at The New Haven/Berger Firehouse to honor the men and women who died sacrificing their lives in order to save others.

Tragedy on Highway 19 in Montgomery County - Area mourns death of Hermann High School senior Taylor Thompson

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 17-year-old Taylor Thompson of Hermann, Mo. was pronounced dead earlier this evening at University Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Mo.  MSHP reports that Thompson was traveling north on Hwy 19 when she crossed the center line striking an oncoming vehicle head on.

According to the MSHP the accident occurred around 2 p.m. this afternoon on Hwy 19 0.1 miles south of Porters Road.  Thompson was air lifted by ARCH Helicopter to University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Mo.

Two car accident this morning at the intersection of Highway E and Highway 100

New Haven/Berger Fire and New Haven EMS responded around the seven o’clock hour this morning for a report of a vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 100 and Highway E.

A grey Oldsmobile Alero was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Hwy E when it was were rear-ended by a green late model Pontiac Sunfire.

New Haven Berger responds to report of structure fire - Minor smoke damage

New Haven Berger Fire responded to the 200 block of Grey Squirrel Trl just west of Hwy VV and Hwy 100 to a report of a structure fire.  Hermann Fire Department was also dispatched along with Hermann EMS.

STATE PATROL MAKES CORRECTION IN CRASH REPORT - Fatal accident on Vedder Rd. in rural NW Franklin County

June 28 4:46 p.m. - The MSHP's crash report has listed 16 year old male River Filla as the driver of the vehicle.   This is a correction from who they initially had listed as the driver.

Power outage caused by tree limb

This morning New Haven Police and Fire responded at 6:15 a.m. for a report of a tree limb on the power lines at the 100 block of Maiden Lane.  The limb broke off from a tree onto a primary line causing the power outage this morning.

New Haven Fire and EMS to provide air-conditioned tent and first aid station during Youth Fair

New Haven/Berger Fire Department will have an air-conditioned tent and first aid station set up for both days of this weekends Youth Fair.  Paramedics and EMTs with New Haven EMS will be available to provide any first aid or any medical care needed.

Vehicle accident Hwy 47 north of Washington, Mo.

At approximantly 9:10 a.m. Warren County EMS and Fire and Washington Fire assisting responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Hwy 47 north of the Missouri River near the Washington Airport. 

QNHN's Brian Stalcup is reporting that two vehicles were involved and at this time it is unknown if there were any injuries.

QNHN will attempt to get a statement and continue reporting news when it happens.

New Haven/Berger Fire provides state certified class - Big win for citizens

Ten Volunteer Firefighters for the New Haven/Berger Fire Department completed a Firefighter 1 class last night at station 1 in New Haven.  Firefighter 1 is a state certified class that consists of 320 hours of classroom time and hands on training.
