Sheldon Richardson will bypass senior year to enter 2013 NFL Draft

COLUMBIA, Mo.
– Mizzou Athletics just announced that University of Missouri junior defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson has decided to forego his final year of collegiate eligibility, and will make himself available for the 2013 NFL Draft, to be held April 25-27.

Richardson had a breakout season for the Tigers in 2012, as he led all Southeastern Conference defensive tackles, and ranked second on the MU team overall, with 75 tackles.

The Painted Posse are some of the biggest celebrities on LSU’s campus, but at the end of the day, the purpose of the Painted Posse goes beyond school spirit.

The Missouri Tigers (3-2 overall, 0-2 in Southeastern Conference play) return home to begin an entire month in the friendly confines of Memorial

Stadium/Faurot Field. You won’t see Mizzou leave the state of Missouri until the calendar flips to November, as the Tigers have home games this month against Vanderbilt (Oct. 6), Alabama (Oct. 13) and Kentucky (Oct. 27), sandwiched around a bye week (Oct. 20).

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri’s top freshman football player is in trouble with the law. Dorrial Green-Beckham of Springfield has been suspended for at least this weekend’s game after he and two freshman teammates were charged with possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.

On the gridiron, Mizzou is looking to bounce back from a tough 41-20 home loss last Saturday evening to 7th-ranked Georgia in what served as the first-ever conference game for MU in its new home of the Southeastern Conference.

. - Monday Mizzou's football head coach Gary Pinkel held a press conference on the game against No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs (1-0) this Saturday, marking the first Southeastern Conference league game in Mizzou history.
