This weekend marks the 49th Annual Steam Engine and Threshing Show, produced by the Owensville Threshers Association, and hosted by the Rosebud, Missouri Community Park.  The cool, Friday evening proved to be an excellent time to spend at the festival, which continues through Sunday.

This evening’s highlights included Grain Threshing, Barrel Racing, Lumber Sawing Demonstrations, Draft Horse Pull, and a Farm Tractor Pull.

The President of the Thresher’s Association, Jane Willis, explained in the festival program that the show is “put on, in the spirit of a day gone by, a day when people had time for one another”.

Below is Nick Gerling taking first place in his division.

The Thresher’s Show supporters include over 300 sponsors which span several counties wide, all of which are included in the Thresher’s Show Program Book.  These sponsors assist the Association in providing a scholarship to a high school senior in the area.

The Collector’s Button and Program Cover for this year featured Ralph Brinkman’s McCormick – Deering Farmall Model F-20 Tractor.  This tractor was purchased by George Brinkman in 1937 and remains in the family today.

The following is the scheduled list of events for the remainder of the weekend at the Steam Engine and Threshing Show in Rosebud, Missouri.
