This coming Sat. Sept. 22 will mark the 23rd Annual Hot Air Balloon Race presented by Pepsi.

Last year was one of the largest turnouts as people filled the City Park with picture perfect weather as they watched balloons fill the bright blue sky.  The beautiful view was like a scene from a movie.

The best part of this one of a kind event is that admission is FREE.

The current forecast for Sat. is calling for partly clear skies with a high of 71 degrees.  However, wind speeds will be the deciding factor.

We spoke with Brad Zobrist who helps in coordinating the Hot Air Balloon race.

He said, “Every year we keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.  There will be a large variety of food and plenty of games for the kids to go along with the Hot Air Balloon Race."

Zobrist was quick to add that, “Local businesses are the ones who deserve a “Thank You” without their co-sponsorships the Hot Air Balloon Race would never be possible.”
