Blue Devils Close Exhibition Action Against Lander this afternoon -- Listen to live broadcast

DURHAM, N.C. -  Following a 112-27 victory over Pfeiffer on Thursday to open exhibition action, the preseason eighth-ranked Duke women's basketball team will play its final exhibition contest on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium by hosting Lander University.  Admission is free.  Click here to listen to live broadcast of today's game.

Leading the way for the Blue Devils against Pfeiffer was freshman Elizabeth Williams with a game-high 21 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks, four steals and two assists in 29 minutes.    Sophomore Chelsea Gray came close to a quadruple-double with 15 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and seven steals in only 22 minutes.  A total of six Blue Devils registered double-digit scoring on the night as Duke forced 40 Lady Falcon turnovers and had 32 steals.

Lander enters the contest on Sunday preseason ranked No. 10 nationally in NCAA Division II and picked second in the preseason Peach Belt Conference behind No. 1 ranked Clayton State.  The Lady Bearcats return seven letterwinners off last year's 29-4 squad.  Lander is coached by Kevin Pederson, who is in his sixth year.  Located in Greenwood, S.C., Lander features an enrollment of 3,000 students.
