''I just kept thinking, 'Well, they've got to miss some shots once in a while,''' North Carolina coach Sylvia Hatchell said. ''And they hardly missed any.''  The Blue Devils racked up 10-3s while dishing out 23 assists.

Coach Joanne P. McCallie said, “I just thought we really played good basketball tonight. Great team game. I tell you, the team really fed off each other. There was very few play-calling, a lot of creation by the team in finding the open player. Twenty-three assists and getting back to that number and higher is what we’ve been talking about, and I felt that everybody stepped up, and also did the dirty work – the rebounding, the things that are really, really important, of course, in a game.”

Duke’s seniors, Shay Shelby and Kathleen Scheer added to the 40-point beat down.  Shelby dished a career-high six assists, while scoring 10 points in her second straight start.  Scheer came off the bench, giving Coach P solid playing time to score two points, and snagging a pair of rebounds.

Duke became only the tenth team in ACC history to win their first 10 ACC games. (10-0).  The Blue Devils travel to Boston College on Thur. and then head south to Florida State on Sun.
