It was a successful day for the New Haven Volleyball program.  All three teams played today, the Freshmen and JV in the Pacific Tournament and Varsity in their own tournament.

The Lady Rocks were a combined 25-6 on the day. Not many schools can say their teams in one day only lost 6 sets out of 31 played.

Three teams and only two coaches, those numbers do not add up.  Coach Cary and Coach Speckhals called upon New Haven's previous head coach, Jaime Hoener to coach the JV squad.

You might say there was a little bit of pressure on Coach Hoener, the JV team came into today's tournament undefeated on the season.  Coach Hoener obviously had not lost her touch, leading the JV to a first place finish.

We spoke with Coach Hoener and asked her how it felt to be down on the hardwood once again,  Hoener said, "It was different, but it came back to me pretty quick.  Then it was like, oh lineup cards, I haven't done these in a while.  It was fun.  The girls played great and overall it was a fun day."Pictured above The Champion Lady Shamrocks of the New Haven Round-Robin
