BREAKING NEWS: Heavy fire destroys home on Dierking Road

![]() Complete Story: This is all that remains after fire ripped through a modular home Saturday night north of Beaufort, Mo. By Kaylin Bade: Beaufort, Mo. – Saturday night, around 10:15 p.m., fire stormed through a modular home, completely destroying it. Beaufort/Leslie Fire Department responded to the first alarm, located on Dierking Road near the intersection of Dierking and East Casco Road, north of Beaufort, Mo. Beaufort/Leslie Fire Chief Terry Feth said, “When I arrived, the modular home was fully engulfed in flames. A passerby noticed heavy smoke coming from the residence and called 911.” Fortunately, the reporting party happened to be driving on Dierking Road, otherwise it could have gone unnoticed because of its rural location.
UPDATE 3: 11:42 p.m. - Crews are currently working to put out "hot spots" UPDATE 2: 11:20 p.m. - According to officials, no one was home at the time of the fire; there are no reports of injuries. Union and Gerald/Rosebud Fire Departments responded to assist Beaufort/Leslie. The alarm has now been named as "under control". UPDATE 1: 11:06 p.m. - As shown in the photos, the home is a total loss. We will bring more information about the fire once it is released.
