BREAKING NEWS: Update: City crews quick to repair water main break

City crews work to repair the street.

12:30 a.m. - City crews were able to quickly fix the water main break that had occurred on Roberta Street between Center Street and Elton Street this morning without any complications.  They remain on site, repairing the street where the break had occurred.  Roberta street is expected to be reopend to all traffic by early this afternoon.

Public Works Director, Julius Gatzemeyer said, “I was initially advised of the water main break around 8:30 a.m.  Our crews were on site around 9:30 a.m. and began work to repair the water main.  They were able to fix it without any complications.”

 

 

 

10:45 a.m. - City crews are currently working to repair a water main break that occurred this morning around 10 a.m. on Roberta Street, between Elton and Center St.

Brad Maune with the streets department said, “At this time there are no residence being affected or any concern of water contamination.  We are digging up part of the street where the break has occurred.”

We are closely monitoring this developing story and are in contact with Maune.
