UPDATE: 1:21 p.m. - The suspect was apprehended at the above pictured residence off Holtgrewe Road. Quick News spoke with both Franklin County Sherriff Gary Toelke and Washington Police Chief Ken Hahn; we will update with that information later this afternoon. UPDATE: 1:06 p.m. - Franklin County Deputies have confirmed that the suspect in custody is the individual who originally fled the scene. Washington, Mo. - Following an attempted traffic stop, Washington Police began a search of the area for a suspect who fled the scene. Washington's West Elementary and several churches were placed on lockdown as a precaution. A helicopter is currently hovering over an area west of pottery road. A suspect is now in custody, thanks to the quick and effective action of local law enforcement; Washington Police are waiting on a positive identification of the suspect in custody.
