Consumers to see a credit in their accounts after E-Book Settlement

If you buy e-books, you may soon find a little extra credit in your online accounts.Missouri consumers will share about 1-point-1 million dollars from a national settlement with the three major e-book publishers.

Attorney’s General from 54 states and territories charged Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins Publishing, and Simon & Schuster with conspiring to fix prices.

The publishers agreed to a 69 million dollar settlement. You do not have to file any paperwork to get your share of the settlement.

Credits will be placed in your accounts with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple or Kobo.
