New Haven, Mo. – I bet few people, including myself, knew that New Haven has a Community Christmas Tree.  In fact we’ve had the tree for four years after Hennigs Automotive donated the tree in 2008, at the time known as GDX.

Every year since, New Haven Garden Club members have taken time to hang ornaments and string lights on New Haven’s official Christmas tree.

This past Saturday after members of the New Haven Garden Club spent the afternoon adding Christmas decorations; they held a tree lighting ceremony later that evening.

So the next time you’re out and about make sure to drive downtown to see the beautiful tree planted along the levy.
