"A grandmother pretends she doesn't know who you are on Halloween."  -Erma Bombeck

Halloween is now less than a week away, are you still looking for that perfect costume?  We have some quick ideas for you, using items that are most likely already in your home!

The Mailman
Dress your little postal carrier in a blue button-down shirt and dark blue jeans with a cream colored tote bag for candy!  Use cardstock or craft foam to make two U.S. Mail badges and pin them onto the shirt pocket and tote bag.

A Sweet Skunk
All you need for this costume is a thick white feather boa and a black sweatsuit; just pin the boa down the back of the sweatshirt for the skunk’s stripe and off you go!

Bumble Bee
Again, a black sweatsuit is needed.  Use yellow or reflective DuckTape to create the bee’s stripes and a black headband with pipe cleaners for antennae.

Autumn Leaves
Safety pin leaves (real or craft leaves) to a brown sweatsuit; use a lawn and leaf bag to collect Halloween treats!

Splatter craft paint on a white sweatsuit; cut out a paint palette from a large piece of white cardboard and use craft paint to make 4 or 5 circles of paint on the palette. Glue an old paintbrush to the palette.  Magnificent!
Bag of Jelly Beans
Blow up various colors of balloons, keeping them small enough that they look like jelly beans. Attach the balloons to a white sweatsuit using safety pins.
