DURHAM, N.C. - Sophomore Tricia Liston scored 24 points on 4-for-9 shooting from three-point range to lead all players during the Duke Women's Basketball team's annual Blue-White Scrimmage Sunday afternoon in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Fellow sophomore Haley Peters added 21 points while shooting 8-for-13 from the field, as the White team came away with a 75-53 victory over the Blue squad. Head coach Joanne P. McCallie directed the Blue Devils through four 10-minute quarters of play in the annual scrimmage, which featured split squads for each period.

"Every team is different, every team evolves differently," McCallie said. "This team can be a very fast team down the floor. I think we have more playmaking with Chloé playing together with Chelsea ... I think you've seen part of that evolution in the Blue/White."

Several newcomers were also impressive in their Duke debuts, displaying the depth of the 2011-12 team. Freshmen Elizabeth Williams and Amber Henson provided a strong presence inside, knocking down 13 points each, while Williams also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.

Fellow freshman Ka'lia Johnson also finished in double figures at 11 points, in addition to recording seven rebounds and two assists.

Sophomore Chelsea Gray shined defensively, posting a game-high five steals to go with six points and 10 assists. Senior Allison Vernerey and sophomore Chloé Wells added 11 points each with Vernerey also collecting five rebounds. Also making an impact on the boards were sophomore Richa Jackson with nine grabs and senior Shay Selby with seven - including three on the offensive end.

The Blue Devils will now prepare for their first exhibition game of the season on Thursday, Nov. 3 against Pfeiffer in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke will then host Lander in an exhibition contest on Sunday, Nov. 6  before opening up the 2011-12 season on the road at BYU on Friday, Nov. 11.
