East Central College Words and Motion present Classic Holiday Film December 2 at ECC

East Central College invites the community to celebrate the season while enjoying a classic holiday movie Friday, December 2.  ECC will show “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey, 7 p.m. in Room 138 of the BC Building on the college campus in Union.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is limited.

Admission for the general public is one non-perishable food item per person with all of the donations going to the Union Food Pantry.  Lisa Pavia-Higel, communications instructor at ECC and coordinator of ECC’s film and speaker series, encourages families to attend.  They can also enjoy complimentary popcorn, participate in a film scavenger hunt, and register for attendance prizes 

“This is the third year we’ve hosted a holiday film,” said Pavia-Higel.  “Each year we’ve collected 50 to100 pounds of non-perishable food to help those in need.”  She noted that “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is rated PG.
