Thursday and Friday night were hopping at New Haven High School.

Homecoming week is always a big deal to the students, basketball players, and fans.

Thursday night featured a performance by the “Future Shamrock Cheerleaders”.  Earlier in the week, the high school cheerleaders held two practices with the 65 girls from grades K-12, where the high school squad taught them different cheers for Thurs. performance.

The future cheerleaders were split up into groups by grade.  Each group performed a cheer, topping it off with all 65 girls performing a cheer together, getting fans fired up for the varsity girl’s game.

Coach LuAnn Engelbrecht said, “This was our third year of doing this.  The squad held practices with the kids on Mon. and Tues., getting them ready to rock and roll for Thur. night.

I am very proud of our girls, they really did a great job working with the kids, and I think they all had a good time doing so.”
