Hazardous Weather Outlook - High Winds and Heightened Fire Danger

The National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of eastern and central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois. 

Westerly winds will be sustained between 20 and 35 mph with gusts to around 45 mph today. 

Also, there is a heightened fire danger during the afternoon hours for most of the forecast area due to low relative humidity values and gusty winds. 

The fuel moisture is higher due to the rainfall overnight, but is expected to dry out some by this afternoon.
