New Haven's teamwork and unselfish play has led them off to a 5-0 and start.

New Haven, Mo. – The JV volleyball team has been pounding the opposition leading them off to a 5-0 start, taking each match in two sets.  In their last three games (Belle, Montgomery County, & Chamois) they have out scored opponents 150 to 46.

The lady rocks do not have just one spiking gun, they have an entire army, keeping opponents guessing, never knowing whom they will set for the attack.

Megan Shockley smashes one of her four kills against Montgomery County in which she also recorded five aces.

Coach Dennis Cary said, “The girls work hard in practice and are a fun group to work with.  I am pleased with how the season has started but there are still a lot of things we need to improve on.”

The lady rocks have four main hitters.  The past three games Mackenzy Vedder has smashed six kills, Megan Shockley six kills, Courtney Yowell 5 kills, and Katie Peirick leading the way with nine kills.

New Haven has been serving the ball extremely well, recording 38 aces during their last three games with Molly Munsinger leading with eight followed by Erin Scheer and Peirick each with 6.

Tuesday night New Haven will play their first Four Rivers Conference against St. James and possibly the first team to test the lady rocks.
