Tuesday, January 3, marks the first day of the late registration period at East Central College.

Advisors will be available January 3 - 7 to assist new and returning students with the enrollment process.  A special registration session is scheduled at the Union campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 7.  Spring semester classes begin Monday, January 9.

Cookie Hays, vice president of student development at ECC, reminds potential students that payment will be due the day they register in classes.

"Though people can still apply for financial aid for the spring semester, they will not receive authorization prior to the start of classes," said Hays.  "To hold their spot in class they can pay with cash, check or a credit card.  We also have a payment plan option so people can spread the cost out over several months."

Hays encourages any potential students to complete an application for admission, which can be found online at under the future students tab.

The spring semester class schedule is also accessible from the front page of the ECC website.

In-district students pay $228 in tuition and general fees for a three credit hour class while out-of-district students pay $312.  Some classes also have additional lab and technology fees.

In addition to the main campus in Union, East Central also offers classes in Washington, Sullivan, Rolla and Warrenton.
