New Haven, Mo - Pinckney Bend Distillery in New Haven, Mo. was awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its American Gin.  The competition included more than 1200 entrants from 62 countries.

Recognized as one of most reputable spirits competitions in the world, all judging is blind.  This means that other than category, judges have no idea who actually produced the spirit until the end of the competition.

Pinckney Bend's Head Distiller Tom Anderson said, "We are a new brand less than a year old, competing against established brands with a global footprint. San Francisco is the level playing field where David can challenge Goliath without a multi million dollar-advertising budget."

Ralph Haynes, V.P. of Sales said, "Bombay Sapphire and Beefeaters Gins, both of which are good products and worthy competitors, won silver medals. Competing with and besting some of the oldest names in the business speaks to the quality that a small distillery can achieve."

Pinckney Bend American Gin is now available at more than 150 locations in the St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia and Jefferson City areas, including finer restaurants, grocery, liquor stores, and at local stores.
