New Haven, Mo - On Tuesday May 1 a group of local veterans are starting a support group for all local veterans in and around the area.  The meeting will be at the Memorial Baptist Church beginning at 7 p.m.

The idea is to help veterans have a better understanding about VA benefits and misconceptions most veterans may have.  They will also help those who may need to sign up for benefits they are entitled too.

They would like for this to be a regular monthly or biweekly scheduled meeting, depending upon the response.

Other topics include; helping those who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome or for those who just need a place they can go and talk about different issues they may be having.

The sole purpose is to help veterans understand about VA benefits and a place to talk with others who actually understand feelings or issues you may be dealing with.

This meeting is open to all veterans, whether serving during a time of war or during peacetime.  It does not matter if you have fought in hand-to-hand combat or not.

Help spread the word to your fellow brothers and sisters about Mondays meeting at 7 p.m., that will be held at the Memorial Baptist Church.
