Madden and Seitter voted to Four Rivers All-Conference teams

New Haven, Mo – Friday, the Four Rivers All-Conference 1st team and 2nd teams were released with two Shamrocks receiving all-conference honors

Austin Madden was named 1st Team All-Conference and Ross Seitter was voted 2nd Team All-Conference.

Madden and Seitter played pivotal roles in leading New Haven to a District Championship and advancing to the Missouri State Quarterfinals.

Madden was New Haven’s ace pitcher, finishing the season with an 8-1 record, going 3-0 in state play. 

In the District Championship game, Madden gave up just two runs, both that were unearned, on five hits, striking out seven batters, and went 2-4 from the plate.

During the State Playoffs, Madden stepped it up a notch, striking out 24 batters while giving up just seven walks.  Overall on the season he finished with and ERA of 2.82, striking out 58 batters, and held opposing teams to a batting average of .272.

Seitter was New Haven’s shortstop and leadoff hitter.  He led New Haven in hitting with a season average of .372 while knocking in 15 runs.

Seitter was a machine at the plate during the postseason, leading New Haven with 13 hits, four doubles, second in batting average, .625, and struck out one time on 22 plate appearances.

He became the catalyst behind New Haven’s postseason success, reaching base in his first at bat for the Shamrocks in three of their four postseason games.

Both Seitter and Madden will return next year for their senior season.
