New Haven, Mo - The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) voted New Haven Pitcher, Austin Madden, to the Class 1 Pitchers 2nd Team All-State, making him one of the top eight pitchers among Class 1 schools.

The MHSBCA selected four pitchers for 1st, 2nd, and Honorable Mention teams.  Madden was the only player in the Four Rivers Conference to receive All-State honors.

Madden finished the season with a record of 8-1, throwing 57 innings for the Shamrocks where he struck out 58 batters while giving up just 22 walks.

Madden’s biggest win on the year came against St. Elizabeth in the Class 1 district championship, leading the Shamrocks to a 3-2 win.  Madden held St. Elizabeth to five hits and struck out seven.  The two runs scored were both unearned.

Madden will return as a senior next year.  Congratulations Austin on receiving All-State honors.
