Taylor Goad is a senior at New Haven High School and will be working with us as a student intern throughout the school year.

Goad is in her fourth year of playing volleyball, has been an honor roll student, and a member of FBLA, Student Council, FCCLA, and National Honor Society.

Goad was the 2012 New Haven Youth Fair Queen and second runner-up in 2011.  This past summer, Goad was one of four junior girls who attended Missouri Girls Sate.

Goad said, “At one time I wanted to be a journalist, which is why I was interested in working with QuickNewHavenNews for my community service class.  I want to learn more about reporting news or covering an event and this gives me the opportunity to find out if this is something I like or not.”

After graduating Goad plans to attend William Woods for two years in their pre-med program, then transferring to University of Missouri Kansas City for their Dentistry program. Her long-term goal is to own a general dentistry company.

Goad’s favorite quote perfectly describes her to a “T”.  “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and its better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring" -Marilyn Monroe
